Founded in 1952 by “Doc” Wahl, the Georgetown Animal Hospital has provided quality veterinary care for over half of a century. We have a comprehensive in house laboratory, ultrasound, pharmacy, radiology, and dental equipment. Our doctors and staff attend frequent continuing education seminars to stay on the leading edge of veterinary medicine. We strive to educate our clients on the best medical care currently available for their pet and help them choose the pet care options that work best for their family.

Meet Our Team

  • Dr.
    Joan Gish
    DVM

    Dr. Gish grew up on a farm in northeastern Ohio, where she decided at the age of 9 that veterinary medicine was her passion. After graduating from The Ohio State University Veterinary program with honors in 1993, she joined the Georgetown Animal Hospital. She has enjoyed serving the people and pets of our community for more than 25 years.

    Dr. Gish’s family includes husband Bill and son Wes. Her fur family includes four cats Cheeto, Clementine, Cinnabon, Junebug and dog Little One. She enjoys spending time with her family and FCC soccer.

    Debbie Chalker
    DVM

    Debra Chalker graduated Cum Laude from Ohio University with a Bachelor in Science in 1991. She received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 1995. She is a member of Omega Tau Sigma Fraternity, Ohio and The American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Chalker always has had a passion for science and a strong bond with animals which led her to become a veterinarian. She has practiced veterinary medicine at Georgetown Animal Hospital for almost 20 years.

    Debbie enjoys being a small animal Veterinarian for dogs, cats, rabbits, and pocket pets. She and her husband, Doug, have 2 kids, Emma and Eli, 2 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 horses. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, reading, hiking, camping, and attending church.

  • Savannah Reed
    RVT

    Savannah is our head veterinary technician. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati- Blue Ash with her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology in the spring of 2014. Savannah realized that she wanted to become a Veterinarian Technician in 2010 when she found a malnourished, sick puppy, named Bodhi whom she nursed back to health. She still has Bodhi and also has a cat named Lailah. In her spare time, she loves to go four wheeling, fishing, and spending time with her family.
